Still IN the STREAM

Five Years of BLP, Presence, and the Quiet Work of God
“But He Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.” — Luke 5:16

Five years ago, I launched Brittany Leazer Productions with nothing but a calling, a few costumes, and a belief that kids should have a place to create freely in the presence of Christ.

It’s been a whirlwind.

Hundreds of students, countless rehearsals, incredible performances, and one miracle after another. I’ve poured myself into building this thing—dreaming, growing, pushing, and sprinting at a pace that often felt faster than my soul could keep up with.

And now… I hear it again.
That quiet invitation to slow down.
To go deeper before I go forward.

I’ve always been the type to move fast.
The “what’s next” kind of girl.
Full speed ahead, one idea turning into the next before the last one is even fully born.

But recently, God has been asking me to stop. Not forever—but for long enough to really listen.

To be present.

Present in His presence.
Present with my family—now entering a new season of life as my children grow into young adults.
Present with the vision ahead—not sprinting toward it, but walking faithfully with the One who gave it.

I’ve come to realize that growth doesn’t always happen in the sprint.
Sometimes it happens in the sitting.
In the silence.
In the small, unseen moments when I’m not leading a production or solving a problem or making a move—but when I’m still in the river, letting the water of His love smooth the edges of my soul.

I’m not the same woman who started this in 2018.
And thank God for that.

I’ve been shaped by every backstage prayer, every show week meltdown, every hard conversation, every answered prayer, every moment of doubt and every moment of wonder. I’ve learned to lead with open hands. To love in the mundane. To stop reaching for the next big thing and instead listen for the next small whisper from a big God.

So here’s what I know now:

  • There is purpose in the pause.

  • There is glory in the quiet.

  • There is grace for every season—even the slow ones.

Don’t worry—BLP and I aren’t going anywhere.
This community, this work, this calling—it’s still part of the story. But something new is coming. God is stirring, stretching, refining. I don’t fully know what’s next, but I know it begins with presence. Deep, holy, grounded presence.

Because before I can build anything new, I need to sit with the Builder.

If you’re like me—tired from the sprint, wondering what’s next, or feeling the urge to move before God has spoken—I hope this encourages you.

Sometimes the most faithful thing we can do is stop.

Sit.

And let the rushing water of His love do the smoothing work that striving never could.
